Shipping and Delivery

HOW WE DO IT

Deliveries

  • Our gifts are sent via reputable couriers that have tracking facilities available to ensure we can trace your gift at any given time.

  • If a gift cannot be delivered due to incorrect address or no person is available for signing, the extra courier charge for re-delivery will be forwarded on to you. Please ensure delivery details are accurate.

  • We can not deliver parcels to Post Office boxes - please supply a valid street address
    (ideally a work address or where you believe someone will be able to sign for your package).

  • Our deliveries are made Monday to Friday (See below for Saturday, Sunday and other deliveries).

  • For orders being delivered in the Adelaide metropolitan area that have been received before 5:30pm, you can expect next day delivery. For any outer SA metropolitan deliveries, please allow a minimum of 2 business days for these orders. 

  • PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE AN EXTRA COST FOR SATURDAY DELIVERIES see below for details.

  • By prior agreement, if you prefer your order can be collected by your own courier - call us to arrange

South Australian Delivery Charges

  • Adelaide CBD and metropolitan areas from $15-$32.50 AU.

  • Outer Adelaide area & Adelaide Hills $11.85-$33.25+ AU.

  • Saturday deliveries may be arranged within a 20km radius from Adelaide CBD for a fee of $25.00 AU plus the standard delivery charge. Please call our office 614 388 282 60 to discuss final costings and availability of drivers to deliver.

  • Note: We CAN NOT arrange deliveries on Saturday to any outer* SA metropolitan, country, interstate or overseas orders.
    * Outer includes any orders outside a 20km radius from Adelaide CBD.

  • Should we need to 'redeliver' a gift due to incorrect details given, you will be charged an additional delivery fee prior to your gift being redelivered unless other arrangements have been made.

  • Deliveries can be made between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Every effort will be made to have your parcel delivered on time, but we can't be responsible for courier delays that are out of our control. Please note that we cannot accept a specific delivery time (e.g. 1.30pm). Please check with our office if your gift has to be delivered on a certain day.

  • Please allow 1-3 days for interstate / country, 2-5 days for more remote locations (eg. Northern Territory, Western Australia and Far North Queensland).

  • For any CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES (December) please add an extra 2 days to the above time frames to allow for the influx in parcels sent.

Hospital Deliveries

  • Gossip Box can deliver to all major hospitals but please make sure the patient(s) have not been discharged (sent home) before placing your order. Should your order be dispatched and the patient since has left the hospital you will be charged a re-delivery fee should we need to resend your gift to another address unless prior arrangements have been made.

    Note: At times the maternity wards have expecting / new mums checked in under their maiden names. To avoid confusion, please make sure the correct name is provided when placing your order.

Registered Post Deliveries / Courier delivered parcels

  • All parcels sent via Australia Post are registered, a flat fee of $5.00 AU is automatically calculated on top of your postage cost to cover this charge. 

  • For parcels sent via couriers these are collected from Gossip Box which are then scanned to ensure they can be tracked and unless previously agreed will not be left at the delivery location unless an 'authority to leave' has been agreed to either by the sender prior to delivery OR the recipient had the courier tried to previously deliver the parcel unsuccessfully.

Public Holiday Deliveries

  • Gossip Box is closed on all South Australian Public Holidays.

South Australian Deliveries during the Christmas period

  • Due to the high demand during the Christmas period, please allow up to 2 business days for your Christmas orders to be delivered. Most times your orders will arrive either same day or next business day. Please call our office +614 388 282 60 should you have any queries regarding your order.

Interstate Deliveries

  • Parcels delivered outside of South Australia are calculated by our website once you have entered the destination details. You will have the option to obtain an estimate postage cost before completing your order. After you have selected your choice of gift to the shopping cart, simply 'view' your cart then click on the 'estimate shipping' button for the calculation.

  • Please allow 1-4 days for interstate / country, 2-7 days for more remote locations (eg. Northern Territory, Western Australia and Far North Queensland).

Our parcels sent via Australia Post are registered, and a flat fee of $5.00 AU is automatically calculated on top of your postage cost to cover this charge.
For parcels sent via interstate couriers we process these on the basis each parcel must be signed for and NOT left unattended at the destination address. This cost is calculated in your delivery charge(s) which you will be advised of this cost prior to completing your order.

Interstate Deliveries during the Christmas period

  • Due to Australia Post's increase in parcel delivery around Christmas time, we would suggest for all country & interstate areas, to place orders at least 10 working days before you would like gift to be delivered.

Overseas Deliveries

  • Overseas orders are welcome – conditions and fees apply.

  • For any overseas deliveries, as our system DOES NOT automatically calculate the delivery costs, we will advise you of the charges BEFORE processing your order to ensure you are aware of the full costs and to discuss the options available to you.

  • All parcels sent via Australia Post will be registered and will be included as part of our quote. Please advise should you prefer not to accept this cover. 

  • Please be mindful of the location of where your gift is being sent as we will not be held responsible for any damages due to hot weather conditions.

    PLEASE NOTE: Should you choose to order gifts from the INTERNATIONAL GIFTS TAB these will calculate delivery charges but we must point out that the contents included are NOT EXCLUSIVELY SOUTH AUSTRALIAN.

Registered Post International

  • Signature on delivery for items up to 2kg, valued up to $500 AU. Please allow UP TO 2 weeks for registered parcels to arrive at their destination. Should you wish to have these delivered within 4-5 working days, we can arrange express post for you but an additional charge will apply to this service.

    Please be mindful of the location of where your gift is being sent as we will not be held responsible for any damages due to weather conditions (eg chocolates to a hot climate).

    • Signature on delivery in many destinations*.

    • Includes coverage of up to $100 AU for loss or damage for articles posted.

Overseas Deliveries during Christmas period

  • For any overseas deliveries, as our system DOES NOT automatically calculate the delivery costs, we will advise you of the charges BEFORE processing your order to ensure you are aware of the full costs and to discuss the options available to you. 

  • Please allow UP TO 4 weeks for registered parcels to arrive at their destination.

Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays

  • ALL orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays will be processed on the following work day morning.

Weights and Dimensions

  • Please note all size, weight and dimensions provided are approximates to give you a general idea of gift sizes and weights to assist you with freight calculations. 

Hot Weather Policy

  • In the event of hot weather we may choose to replace some products (ie chocolates and other perishable items) with more suitable items to ensure your gift arrives in the condition we would expect (as would you) - unmelted. 

  • Please be mindful of the location of where your gift is being sent as we will not be held responsible for any damages due to hot weather conditions.

Alcohol

  • Please note that gifts containing alcohol can only be sold and delivered to persons over 18 years of age.

Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence:

    • to supply alcohol to any person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $6,000)

    • for any person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (Penalty exceeds $500).
